Since beginning my journey in the field and study of dietetics, my dedication to learning motivated me to grow and have led me to projects and experiences. MOCK GRANT PROPOSAL
In my Food and Nutrition Research Methods class, my professor divided the class into random groups. In our group we brainstormed issues that we would like to write a grant about. My group decided to write a grant to get funding for a community garden to help reduce food insecurity. We took the course of the semester to write the grant, where we learned to work together as a team. At the end of the semester we sat in on a panel and reviewed each grant to see which one we wanted to fund. In the end my grant was one that won. Writing this grant inspired me to do my capstone project on combating food insecurity with community gardens.
